• Pre-Approved Template Messages: To safeguard recipient experience, all outbound business-initiated messages must use pre-approved templates categorized under Authentication, Utility, or Marketing.
• Meta Business Account & Payment Method: Meta requires an active payment method configured in your Meta Business Account to deliver template messages.

Quickstart Step-by-Step Walkthrough:

1. Sign In or Register: Log in to your account. Newly registered users with completed profiling receive RM5 free testing credits.
2. Register WhatsApp Sender: Connect your business phone number via Meta's Embedded Sign-Up form.
3. Configure Meta Payment: Add a payment method in Meta Business Manager to enable outgoing message delivery.
4. Create Template Message: Submit your message template for Meta review under Authentication, Utility, or Marketing.
5. Prepare Excel Recipient File: Format all data columns (especially mobile numbers and dates) as Text.
6. Broadcast Personalized Messages: Select your approved template, upload your recipient file, and send.

3. Register WhatsApp Sender via Meta Embedded Signup

With Meta's Embedded Sign-Up integration, registering your dedicated business WhatsApp number is fast and seamless without needing manual API configuration or complex token generation.

Steps to register your WhatsApp Sender:

1. Navigate to WhatsApp Service > WhatsApp Senders and click Register / Add New.
2. Log in to your Facebook account managing your business in the popup window.
3. Select your existing Meta Business Account (WABA) or create a new one.
4. Create or select your WhatsApp Business Profile and input your business display name and category.
5. Enter your phone number and verify ownership via the 6-digit OTP received via SMS or voice call.
6. Payment Method Setup: Ensure you add a valid payment method under your Meta Business Account. Meta bills conversation fees directly; without a valid payment method, outgoing template messages will be rejected by Meta.
7. Complete Meta Business Verification to increase your messaging tier limit.

4. WhatsApp Template Messages

Meta requires all outbound, business-initiated messages to be pre-approved templates. Your template should fall under one of three standardized categories:

• Authentication: One-time passwords (OTP) and account verification codes for user login and security.
• Utility: Transaction receipts, order confirmations, shipping updates, payment reminders, and appointment notifications.
• Marketing: Promotions, discount offers, product announcements, and customer re-engagement campaigns.

Guidelines for Template Approval:

• Use double curly brackets for variable parameters, e.g. for customer name, for order ID.
• Do not include multiple consecutive line breaks or spam-triggering phrases.
• Always provide clear context for dynamic parameters during submission to speed up Meta's review.

Steps to create a Template Message:

1. Register your template under WhatsApp Service > Template Messages.
2. Select the template category (Authentication, Utility, or Marketing) and specify language.
3. Fill in the message body, add dynamic variables where needed, and submit for Meta approval (usually approved within minutes to a few hours).

5. Preparing Excel File & Sending Broadcasts

Once your WhatsApp Sender is connected and your message template is approved, you can launch personalized messaging campaigns by uploading an Excel recipient list.

Excel File Formatting Rules:

• Column 1 (Recipient Mobile): Must contain the full mobile phone number with country code without spaces or dashes (e.g. 60123456789).
• Columns 2 and onwards (Variables): Each subsequent column corresponds to , , etc., matching the dynamic variables in your template.
• CRITICAL: Format Columns as Text: Always select all data columns in Excel and set the cell format to Text before saving. If columns with dates or OTP numbers remain in General/Date format, Excel converts them into internal 5-digit numeric codes, which causes incorrect message text.

Steps to send WhatsApp messages:

1. Start your campaign under WhatsApp Server > Send Personalised Message.
2. Select your verified WhatsApp Sender number and choose your approved template.
3. Upload your prepared Excel file and preview the mapped data fields.
4. Confirm the broadcast to dispatch messages immediately or schedule for later.
